Wedding details form

Your wedding is almost here; so exciting!!

Hopefully now your final plans, times and arrangements are all set and ready to go.

Below you’ll find some details on what you can expect and some tips and info to help put you at ease.

The form is quite in depth but shouldn’t take any longer than 10 minutes to complete. This information will ensure that we are fully prepared for your day in advance.

We can start and finish when ever you choose; please bear this in mind though for making sure that we’re there to cover the main events such as the first dance later on if you’re having one. For example an earlier ceremony would mean an earlier start time or it could be that you’ve allocated too much time for getting ready shots, this would lead to us missing parts of your evening reception, so just make sure you’ve got us covering the most important parts of your day. Additional coverage can also be added on if needed, please just discuss this with us beforehand.

Getting Ready

We usually start your day with the getting ready photos if that’s something you have chosen, this tends to be around 2 hours before your ceremony unless you require more time.

Please note that we travel in one vehicle so it may be difficult to cover both partners getting ready if in different locations that are far apart. If coverage of both parties' preparations is something you're really keen on then let us know and we'll discuss how we can best achieve this. If you’re both at the same location, this makes our job much easier and means we’ll be able to capture you both getting ready with ease.

We’ll stay in the background for the most part of the morning, documenting what happens naturally.

Whilst getting ready, it's always good if you can place yourself or ask your makeup artist/hair stylist to position you near a window that lets natural light in, preferably facing the window, natural light is our best friend and yours too!

If you'd like detail photos of the dress, suit, jewellery, flowers, shoes etc. make sure it's all left in one place which is easy to access when we get there.

Plan a bit more time than you expect to get into your dress/suit, as you want to enjoy the moment and not be too rushed.

The Ceremony

During the ceremony, one of us will be positioned near the front, the other towards the back - this means we’ll be able to cover the ceremony from different angles and perspectives.

There can be some nerves during the ceremony so just focus on each other, smile as much as you can and just enjoy it, this is the moment you marry your best friend surrounded by your loved ones!

After The Ceremony

If you’re having confetti, try to hang back after walking down the aisle or find a quiet spot where you can have a moment for yourselves, this will allow ourselves and your guests enough time to prepare for the confetti shots.

There's a lot to pack into this time between the end of your ceremony and wedding reception so make sure you've built enough time into your timeline for your portraits, group shots and most importantly time for you to eat those canapes, have a drink and mingle with your people.

Confetti

Please check with the Church or wedding co-ordinator that confetti can be used outside the venue.

The more confetti, the better!! Just make sure it’s biodegradable. Also make it somebody’s job like a bridesmaid or groomsman to get it passed around.

Try to walk slowly through the confetti tunnel as we’ll both be walking backwards with you; we know this might be tricky when you’re getting confetti thrown at you!

Group Shots

We really like to keep this to a minimum and recommend a maximum of 10 groups which usually takes no more than 20 minutes, given that it all runs smoothly. Every posed group photo takes time away from the candid moments and we’d much rather be capturing you and your guests having fun and enjoying themselves! We will be around throughout the day so it’s no problem if there’s a photo you want with a particular guest or group later on.

We prefer to do the formal family photos once you’ve had a drink and mingled a little with your guests, though we’re happy to do them straight after the confetti if you’d prefer.

Group shots can be as formal or informal as you like, it’s completely up to you. You can always have more traditional photos with relatives then some fun ones with bridesmaids and groomsmen.

We always ask for you to have a designated person who knows the majority of the guests that you want in your group photos. This is to help round them up as it means less chaos and makes it easier to get people together.

Photos of the whole wedding party work best when we can get to an elevated point of view so if you know of a ideal spot at the venue, do let us know.

Couple Portraits

We will always fit the couple portraits in with the schedule of your day, often this is just after the group shots where we will steal you away for 10 minutes. This is also a good chance for you both to have a small moment to yourselves and take in being newlyweds.

We have a very relaxed approach to our couple portraits, we look at it as just going for a walk, having a chat and stopping for some quick shots whenever we see a nice backdrop. We will never force you into poses or make you do anything you’re not comfortable with, we will only ever give out prompts with the idea to bring out natural interaction between you and to show the real you.

An example of one of our prompts is to ‘walk towards us and focus on each other’, it really is as simple as that and absolutely nothing to be nervous about; we’ll help you feel comfortable, at ease with the cameras and hopefully even have some fun with plenty of laughs in-between.

If your day times well and you’re up for it, we like to steal you away again for another 5 minutes in the evening around golden hour which is the hour just before sunset; the lighting is usually stunning and well worth it! There’s also normally been a fair amount of merriment and celebrating prior to this so it can make for some fun and relaxed images!

Reception

We will cover everything during the reception including all the gorgeous details and the venue, your guests, the cutting of the cake, speeches, the first dance and anything else that’s going on. This is the time when our documentary style really comes into play, getting all the action shots and all of the little moments that you may have missed.

-

There’s a lot to feel on a wedding day and we just want to document it without any interruption and give you photographs that bring you right back to the moment you lived.

The above really is just a rough guideline to give you an idea on how we typically work, we know that every wedding day is different as are our couples so we will always listen to what is most important to you and what your timeline and expectations are for your day.

Once you've filled out the form, we can have a chat over a video call to go over everything and reacquaint ourselves with one another.

That’s it! We hope this has given you a heads up on what to expect and helped put your mind at ease a little.

If you could now fill out the following form below, pay the remaining sum by bank transfer at the end of the form and submit no later than 1 week before your wedding.

If for any reason a question isn't applicable please skip the question.

We can't wait to hear the details!
