FAQ

  • Who owns the copyright?

The industry standard is that photographer always owns the copyright but you will have full personal usage rights to the images so you can freely print them and use for social media etc forever.

  • Where are you based?

We split our time between Co. Mayo, Ireland and the UK as and when needed for our wedding schedule! In the days leading up to your wedding we always stay in accommodation as close to your venue as possible.

  • Are you insured?

Absolutely. We have three types of insurance; our equipment is insured, we have public liability which is essential for most venues now and professional indemnity insurance which insures against loss or photographic failure.

  • Do you travel?

Of course! We love to travel! We're happy to and frequently do travel all over the UK and Republic of Ireland at no extra cost for our full day packages.

For weddings outside of the UK & Ireland please get in touch, we can have a chat about a bespoke package to suit you.

  • How do we book you?

In order to secure your date you will need to complete a booking form and sign a contract which can be filled in and signed online. We’ll also need a non refundable 20% booking fee which you can send via bank transfer or PayPal. Once these are received, any other enquiries for the same date are turned away.

  • What happens after booking?

After booking with us, you can be in touch with as much as you like up until your day.

You can also book in a pre-wed shoot with us, if that’s something you’re keen on; we recommend getting this scheduled in as soon as you can as our diary gets filled up pretty quickly. We will always let you know when we’re close to your area too so that if you do wish to meet then we can keep travel costs to a minimum.

Then around six weeks before your wedding day we’ll be in touch and we'll send you a link to a details form to get more info from you (timings, locations, group shots list etc). At the end of the form, you will be able to pay the remaining sum which will be due no later than seven days before the wedding date.

We can also arrange a video call just before your day to go over everything in detail and have a chat.

  • When will we receive our gallery?

Description goesWe send over a preview gallery consisting of around 100+ highlight photos from your day up to a week after your wedding. Your full gallery of photos will be edited and delivered within 6-12 working weeks. here

  • I don't really like getting my photos taken and I get quite nervous, can you help with that?

Please try not to worry about the photography side of things, we're very easy going people and just want to do the best job we can for you. We really just go with the flow of a wedding day so whatever is happening, we'll be in the background documenting it all for you and we'll obviously take more of a lead during the more formal photos.

We've shot well over a hundred weddings together, all so different and from a variety of places from Scotland to the Isle of Wight and as far as Jamaica so we feel experienced enough to know how to handle different situations on a day, be super comfortable with people from all walks of life and to always be anticipating moments to capture.

The best advice we can give is to just be present and to fully immerse yourselves into your day, enjoy it and have fun with all of your people; that's what makes the best photographs in our opinion!

  • I want some of my photographs to be exclusive and not used on the website/social media. Is that a problem?

Not at all, please just let us know.

  • Do we need to feed you?

That's completely up to you but we will massively appreciate being fed as it means we don’t have to leave the venue to outsource food and have to rush back.

We'll always use your dinner time as our opportunity to eat and refuel.

  • What happens if it rains?

We are more than happy to get outside and brave the weather if you are. We can take an umbrella and use it in your photos or just use it to keep you dry inbetween and cast it aside for a few shots. We can also find sheltered areas such as tree cover or we can look for locations inside of your venue too. When it comes to your group shots, we’ll work out the best indoor location on the day.

  • I need to cancel my wedding, what happens to my deposit?

If you need to cancel your booking and don't intend to reschedule, your deposit is forfeit.

  • How long do you keep a copy of our photos?

We will keep a back up copy of your photos for a minimum of two years following your shoot date and will let you know in good time beforehand when your gallery will be taken down. After this time there is no guarantee that we will have a copy of your photos (should you lose yours). Please make sure you keep a backup copy of your photos somewhere safe.

  • Do you do formal family photographs?

We do a limited amount of formal family shots. We will ask you prior to your wedding for a list of formal group photographs that you require and we recommend a maximum of 10 groups to make sure that you have the utmost time with your guests.

  • Do you always bring a second photographer?

There will always be two photographers to cover your wedding. We will always both be there, this allows us to be in two places at once, capturing everything from different angles which gives you a larger variety of photos.
